Speedbird Aero Unveils New Portfolio, Launches Bird-X and Enters a New Industrial Phase in the Paraíba Valley
The company is reorganizing its solutions architecture, relocating its factory to Jacareí, near São José dos Campos, and reinforcing its evolution as an integrated provider of autonomous aerial logistics.

São Paulo, June 15, 2026 – Speedbird Aero, a global company headquartered in Brazil and Portugal specializing in the development and operation of autonomous aircraft for logistics, arrives at Drone Show 2026 to showcase a new chapter in its journey.
The company is announcing an updated portfolio, the launch of Bird-X, and the relocation of its factory from Franca to Jacareí, in the São José dos Campos region, scheduled for June.
The new portfolio architecture marks the transition from the technical DLV naming convention to a clearer, more commercial structure built around three core product lines: Bird-S, Bird-M and Bird-X. The change reflects Speedbird’s evolution as a provider of complete autonomous aerial logistics solutions, integrating aircraft, software, control systems and multimodal operations.
Bird-S, the evolution of DLV-1, draws on the maturity of the DLV-2 platform to support recurring operations carrying small and medium-sized payloads of up to 7 kg. Bird-M expands the original DLV-2 platform’s payload capacity to up to 15 kg, offering greater operational flexibility for missions including critical logistics, medical equipment transport and grocery deliveries.
Together, the two models address most urban logistics needs, particularly across delivery and healthcare applications.
Bird-X, Speedbird’s newest launch at Drone Show, is currently under development for higher-capacity, longer-range operations. Designed to carry payloads of up to 80 kg over distances of up to 70 km, the aircraft will focus on industrial applications.
“The evolution of our portfolio mirrors the evolution of the market. We are organizing our solutions to serve different mission profiles, from urban deliveries to higher-capacity operations, always with a focus on safety, certification and scale. Bird-X and our new industrial phase in São José dos Campos reinforce this direction,” says Manoel Coelho, Founder and CEO of Speedbird.
The factory’s move to Jacareí, near São José dos Campos, one of Brazil’s leading aerospace hubs, further reinforces this new phase. Its proximity to the region’s aviation ecosystem strengthens Speedbird’s strategy to expand its industrial capacity, accelerate the development of new platforms and consolidate its position in certified, scalable operations.
A recent example of the commercial application of its solutions is Speedbird’s new drone delivery route in Alphaville, Greater São Paulo, launched in partnership with iFood. The operation connects a shopping mall to a residential condominium in Barueri through a multimodal model integrating Speedbird aircraft, autonomous robots and partner couriers.
The route represents a milestone for urban logistics in Latin America. Speedbird is currently the only company authorized to conduct commercial drone operations over populated areas in Latin America, an achievement made even more significant by its operation in the Greater São Paulo area, a region known for having the world’s highest helicopter traffic.
This authorization underscores the company’s technical, regulatory and operational maturity to operate in complex urban environments with demanding aviation safety requirements.
The new operation also builds on Speedbird’s experience in Sergipe, where an aerial route connects a shopping mall in Aracaju to residents of Barra dos Coqueiros. Since October, the operation has surpassed 6,000 orders, averaging approximately 800 deliveries per month.
